New Graduates/Licensees

CAO Membership is free for the remainder of the year following your Optometry School Graduation.  New licensees are encouraged to join at this time.  It is a great opportunity to meet new colleagues and network with fellow CT Optometrists. Be sure to sign-up for a Young OD/Mentoring event located near you!

Beginning the following year, membership dues are based on your graduation year from Optometry school. Remainder of graduation year is free. The first year follwoing you pay 10%, second year 25%, third year 50%, and fourth year 75% of a full paying member.

CAO has a New Optometrist Guide that is located in "Members Only" to help guide you through applying for your license in Connecticut and more.
