About the CAO
Advancing the profession of Optometry to the Forefront of Eye Care
Founded in 1907, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists (CAO) serves as the state's professional organization for optometrists and is affiliated with the American Optometric Association. Representing more than 400 optometrists in Connecticut, the CAO is committed to safeguarding visual health and enhancing the quality of life for patients through optometric care. The mission of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists is to support its members by Advancing the profession of Optometry to the Forefront of Eye Care.
